Actions may involve complex pickups and deliveries, e.g., night deliveries, international travel, transport of dangerous and hazardous products. Provides guidance to others with less experience.ScheduleMonday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pmEssential FunctionsDistributes daily work assignments, directs staff, including full-time, student, and temporary workers, manages performance expectations, ensures compliance with policies and regulations, approves leave and overtime, and assumes departmental responsibility.Performs operational duties, tracks delivery movements, monitors routes and on-demand requests, ensures correct deliveries, consults with departments for scheduling, prioritizing deliveries, and manages records.Monitors vehicle regulations and procedures, oversees vehicle utilization and maintenance, researches vehicle purchases, and ensures contingency plans.Addresses customer and staff inquiries, implements solutions, maintains rapport with departments to prevent delivery delays, and provides status updates.Ensures deliveries meet customer and department standards and enforces quality control processes.
